Jane Farrington has been an attorney in the Office of the Legal Adviser at the U.S. Department of State since 2015, where she has advised on a wide variety of issues, including the First Amendment and United Nations nonproliferation sanctions on North Korea and Iran. She currently advises on issues relating to information sharing arrangements with foreign partners and the visa waiver program. Prior to joining the State Department, Farrington clerked for federal judges on a U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition to her M.P.A. from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, she holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School. Farrington lives in Washington, D.C., and has two sons, ages 6 and 3, both of whom somehow already know how to use an iPhone.
