Genevieve Allotey-Pappoe was a 2023-24 graduate fellow at the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies while she completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Music at Princeton. Between 2021 and 2022, she was a visiting graduate fellow at the humanities branch of the Spanish National Research Council in Barcelona. In 2023, she was awarded the Eugene K. Wolf doctoral research grant by the American Musicological Society. While at Princeton, Allotey-Pappoe participated in various GradFUTURES programs, including a social impact fellowship at Newark Symphony Hall in 2022, and was a member of the GradFUTURES “Working in the Creative Arts and Public Humanities” cohort in 2023. Prior to her social impact fellowships, she was a University administrative fellow with GradFUTURES, where she helped establish the strategy for the GradFUTURES podcast. Using the skills that she developed there, from project management to digital storytelling, she launched her own podcast, “Black Music Nomad.” Allotey-Pappoe is on the board of the Princeton Arts Alumni.
