About Session

Historians have described the 1777 Battle of Princeton as a watershed encounter in the American Revolution. This walking tour takes you along the line of the battle’s troop movements on campus, stopping at key points to explain the context and outcomes of the clash between Gen. Washington’s Continental Army and British regulars. You will learn more about the role that the battle played not only in the University’s history but also in the founding of the United States.
