About Session
This panel will address the dual realities that the United States has been losing ground on economic mobility potential over the last 40 years and the pending “cliff” on federal support for traditional/liberal redistribution programs. What does it look like to move back towards the aspirational levels of economic mobility on which our country was founded? The panel will be mindful of solutions across the political spectrum and discuss best practices in communities that cross disciplines, housing, healthcare and “place.” The panel will incorporate lessons from research and big ideas like those in “Abundance,” the 2025 book by Derek Thompson and Ezra Klein.
