Exhibit Tour: Fashion, Feminism, and Fear: Clothing and Power in the 19th Century

This exhibition at Mudd Library contextualizes controversies over women choosing to wear pants in the 1890s, with a focus on Life magazine editorial cartoonist William H. Walker’s work on the subject. The exhibition also includes material from the decades before and after, and additional items related to the exhibition themes found in Princeton University Library’s Special Collections will be on display. Exhibition hours are Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m.-4:45 p.m. (Mudd Library is closed on Saturday and Sunday.)
