Library Collections Specialist, Princeton University
Emma Paradies is coming into her third year working in the Special Collections department of Princeton University Library. She received her associate’s degree from SUNY Orange, her bachelor’s degree from Smith College and recently completed her master’s degree in information and library science from Rutgers University. In her daily work as a Library Collections Specialist, Paradies helps coordinate and fulfill photoduplication requests for patrons all over the world, assists in finding rare materials for patrons who visit in person, and works on outreach projects in order to broaden access to Special Collections for Princeton community members and outside patrons. She firmly believes that archives are for everyone, and her passion for crafting exhibits reflects that belief. “Fashion, Feminism and Fear: Clothing and Power in the 19th Century” is the second exhibit she has co-curated at Mudd Manuscript Library, after “Credit Line, Please: Photographs by Elizabeth Menzies,” which ran from April 2024 through May 2025.
