A master of public administration graduate of Princeton’s School of Public and International Affairs, Ileana Cruz-Marden has held pivotal roles at organizations like the Rockefeller Foundation’s 100 Resilient Cities and the U.S. Association for the United Nations High Committee for Refugees, addressing global challenges from climate resilience to refugee employment. Cruz-Marden is currently the director of global partnerships at the Tent Partnership for Refugees, where she drives initiatives to integrate refugees into formal labor markets across the Americas and Europe. She previously held positions in the federal government, including at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the U.S. Trade Representative’s office and most recently at the Supreme Court as special assistant to Justice Sonia Sotomayor. A Puerto Rico native, Cruz-Marden obtained her B.A. in international relationships from the University of Puerto Rico, where she was a Truman Scholar and Gates Millennium Scholar. She is a classically trained vocalist.
