Princeton Program in Plasma Physics
Javier Morales is a fourth-year graduate student in the Princeton Plasma Physics Program, where he researches the conditions necessary to achieve fusion energy in reactor systems. Morales was inspired to pursue a career in green energy after growing up in the Dominican Republic with frequent power outages, which highlighted for him that access to electricity is not universal. His experiences fueled a commitment to finding sustainable energy solutions through fusion. In addition to his research, he works with the Princeton Plasma Physics Lab’s Science Education Department to organize community outreach initiatives, aiming to make fusion science more accessible and inclusive.
