Kim Howie is retired from working in New York City hospitals, with jobs in quality assurance, planning and administration. She finished her career in health care as a departmental trainer, primarily developing and delivering orientation and designing an on-line performance support system. Since retirement, she has been volunteering with Sanctuary for Families, which provides services for survivors of domestic abuse and sex trafficking. Since COVID-19, she has participated in mock interviews allowing clients to practice their skills. She also volunteers with Princeton University as a member of the Alumni Schools Committee, Princeton Women’s Network, Princetoniana Committee and P-rade marshals, as well as being a mentor for first generation/low-income students and the Princeton Internships in Civic Service program. She has led multiple Princeton University campus tours on Zoom and in-person over the last five years.
