Margarida Matos Rosa is a distinguished leader in European economic and financial policy, with more than 25 years of experience across the private and public sectors. Her expertise lies in devising strategy and driving robust enforcement focused on delivering tangible outcomes for society. She contributes to enhancing European policy, particularly related to its single market, benefiting citizens and strengthening the overall economic area. Matos Rosa enjoys achieving effective results through a combination of determination, sound expertise, clearly defined objectives, team commitment and interdisciplinary perspectives. Notably, under her leadership, the Portuguese Competition Authority ascended to No. 8 globally, from No. 40 in just six years, a testament to her strategic acumen and execution capabilities. Currently, she serves as a governing board member at the Association of Princeton Graduate Alumni and enjoys volunteering in several Princeton alumni initiatives. Matos Rosa is actively engaged in European Union antitrust and economic policy spheres and advises the European Commission on antitrust policy and enforcement.
