A former quant and data scientist, Sarah Nagy launched Seek AI in 2021. Seek AI was acquired by IBM in 2025 and became the foundation of the company’s watsonx AI Labs, an artificial-intelligence innovation hub based in New York City. Prior to Seek, Nagy led the consumer-data team at Citadel’s Ashler Capital. Before Citadel, she worked as a quant/data scientist at two startups, Edison and Predata, which both successfully exited via acquisitions by unicorn startups (FiscalNote and YipitData). Nagy started as a quant at ITG, developing high-frequency algorithmic trading strategies. She has a master of finance degree from Princeton and dual bachelor’s degrees in astrophysics and business economics from UCLA.
