Robert Lussier is a husband, son, brother and father and very proud of his loving relationships. He is a horticulturist and self-taught stone mason, interests that led him to a fascination with the temporary art of stone balancing. Whether as an escape or a tool for contemplation, the mindful manipulation of rocks in hand feels as if a primal need is gratified. Lussier enjoys the objective of balance — requiring a focused, steady breath and the acceptance of possible failure with each attempt. Success and failure are part of the same wholeness of the attempt. Whether one builds a strong, stable cairn or one that barely lasts for seconds, both should be celebrated.
